From June 1 to August 31, enjoy The National Bank of Indianapolis 2012 Summer Nights Film Series presented every Friday night in the IMAís spectacular outdoor amphitheater. Since the series debut in 1976, the IMA has hosted nearly screenings of films ranging from black-and-white classics to modern hits.

How much are tickets?
$10 Public
$6 Members (Must present current membership card for discount)

Where do I buy tickets?
ONLINE: Online sales begin April 6. Online sales will be available until 2 pm on the day of the film.
ON-SITE: Tickets can be purchased at the Welcome Center on Floor 2 beginning April 6. The box office will open at 6 pm on the evening of a film.
Tickets are non-refundable.
Where are the movies shown?
The IMAís outdoor amphitheater, located on the west side of the Museum, facing the canal and 100 Acres: The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park. Check individual film listings for up to date information on start times or venue changes.
What time do the movies start?
The gates open for picnicking at 7 pm; films begin at dusk (approximately 9:30 pm). For rain-days, films in The Toby will also begin at 9 pm. Check individual film listings for up to date information on start times or venue changes.
What should I bring?
Picnic materials, lawn chairs, candles, food, non-alcoholic beverages, blankets, bug repellent, citronella candles, and your friends are our suggestions. Please remember blankets, lawn chair space is limited. Costumes also welcome.
Do you sell food & beverages?
Concessions are available from Nourish CafÈ. The concession stand will open at 7 pm and close 30 minutes after the start of each film. New! Nourish now accepts credit cards as well as cash.
What is not allowed?
You may not bring pets, candles taller than 12 inches, grills, knives, or alcoholic beverages. Bag search will occur prior to admittance to the amphitheater. This is also a non-smoking venue. Concessions, including alcoholic beverages, are available on-site for purchase.
What is there to do before the movie begins?
- Patrons may visit the museum galleries, which are open until 9 pm and free.
- Have a picnic with friends and family.
- Have a cocktail or snack in Nourish CafÈ.
- Shop in the Museum store
- Visit 100 Acres: The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art and Nature Park (hand stamps will be issued for getting in and out)
What happens in the case of rain or inclement weather?
The movie will be screened indoors in The Toby at 9 pm. WTHRís meteorologist Nicole Misencik will advise the IMA on when to move the film indoors. Follow @NicoleWTHR and @IMAMuseum for the latest updates or become a fan of the IMA on Facebook. The weather decision will be made by 6 pm on the day of the film. People with limited mobility can be seated in the row at top of the amphitheater; ask an IMA staff member for assistance upon arrival. Assistive Listening Devices are available for use; ask for one as you enter the amphitheater. Closed-captioning available when possible.
